Mandatory Meetings

Unless required by law, there should be no such thing as a mandatory meeting.

The best way to get people to attend a meeting is to make the meeting worth attending.

Mandatory meetings are particularly annoying when they're supposed to be "fun" (for example, a team-building offsite). Mandatory fun is an oxymoron.
